Why is there a hole in the IHS (heat seal) liner of the closure? On some of our 100mm closures and almost all of the 120mm closures, it is standard to find a small pinprick size hole in the heat seal liners. This hole is added during the manufacturing process of the closure. The reason for this is it allows for a very small amount of ventilation in the final product
